Jyothi Yarraji is poised to become the first Indian 100m hurdler to participate in the Olympics, while shot putter Abha Khatua secured an unexpected spot through world rankings for the upcoming Paris Games. The World Athletics released the list of athletes who qualified directly by surpassing the entry standard and those who made it through the world ranking quota on Tuesday. However, the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) will have the final say in selecting the athletes who qualified via the world ranking quota.
